Excellence in Service Award Presented to Andrea Boyle, DNSc, BC, RN
The Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Service was awarded to
Andrea Boyle, associate professor of nursing. Boyle has played a critical
role in shaping the School of Nursing curricula. She has developed two new
family nurse practitioner programs and co-developed the master's cohort program,
which provides flexible graduate study for working nurses.
Boyle served as the interim director of the School of Nursing from 2006-07
and she serves on numerous committees, the Academic Senate and the CSU Academic
Senate.
"During her 20 years at San Francisco State, Dr. Boyle has initiated, developed and provided leadership for a number of new nursing courses," Provost Rosser said. "Dr. Boyle's expansive community and professional service is impressive at the local, national and international level."
