Change of Advisor Requests

There may be circumstances which require students to change their advisor. In these instances a Change of Advisor form must be completed by the student and approvals must be received from both the current and proposed new advisors.

Mandatory Advising

School of Nursing advisng is intended to support student's academic success, facilitate their time to graduation, and to assist with enrollment management.  Advisng is therefore required for all APO, graduate, and post master's students during the designated mandatory advising period each semester. Students will be notified when the advising period is via their SF State email address.

BSN students are not required to meet with an advisor each semester.  However it is recommended they contact an advisor to discuss any academic, personal, or career related concerns.
